About Us

n 1994, a group of high school students got together and formed a Charity Club. This group of friends spent their spare time organizing and participating in fundraiser events for charity – and had a lot of fun along the way.

Fast forward 8 years, and many of the friendships formed in the Charity Club still existed, but the time spent volunteering was replaced with time spent studying for university exams, or beginning new careers. A particular member of this group, Brenda Mok, came out of university and decided that she wanted some time outside of the working world, to be put towards charitable causes. However, she didn’t know where to look, how to begin or who to help. She decided to revive the idea of the Charity Club and take it a step further. She felt that there would be others like herself who wanted to volunteer their time but needed to be given the opportunity.

Thus, Imprints was conceived in the summer of 2002. Imprints is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing volunteer opportunities for those who want to lend a hand. Anything from food banks, women’s shelters, cancer societies, environmental groups… our focus is broad. We’re just getting started, but we’re hoping to grow and achieve our main goal – to make an Imprint.
